# Fahrenheit 9/11 could expand to 2000 theaters soon

I wanted to make this a separate thread for those who haven’t seen the movie because it’s not playing in their area, and so haven’t been reading the spoiler-filled threads.  
According to [this Yahoo article](http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1940&ncid=2020&e=13&u=/variety/20040627/va_fi_ne/distrib_plots_expansion) taken from Variety magazine (which explains the silly insider slang):

Btw, the name “Fellowship Adventure Group” is a tweak at Michael Eisner, since Disney wouldn’t give Miramax the money to give Peter Jackson so he could make 2 Lord of the Rings movies, which caused Jackson to go to New Line, who gave him money to make 3 LOTR films, which made a zillion dollars and won nearly that many awards. Once again, with F9/11, Disney has let something of value go to someone else. It’s pretty snarky of Moore and the Weinsteins, but funny.

I can’t dig up a reference for this, but I believe Moore was quoted as saying, “I’m thrilled to be teaming up with _Spider-Man_ to fight evil in our society.” 😃
