Well, if they _knew_ the signage was remaindered from the T_R_U_M_P Casino then they had a duty to discover the provenance of the art — if they didn’t, then they could rely on the sellers being lawful owners, just as when one buys any household good without a long disquisition on the prior chain of ownership. However only a judge who was a loony in his spare time would entertain the idea they were ignorant. However your president did not own the properties bearing his name — some chap called Carl Icahn did and is the only one concerned as disposer of the signs — and The Magnificent Trumpo has been out of the Casino game since **[2009](http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/donald-trump-taj-mahal-casino-atlanic-city-carl-icahn-sells-hard-rock-international-new-jersey-a7607031.html)**. Why would anyone want to buy a trump sign anyway? Unless it would be to blow it up in a video. ---

Well, the organization is called RUMP; buying most of this sign was probably cheaper than having one made from scratch.
