Me three. I love my air compressor. Cheap and reliable. Just so easy to fill my tires in my garage, and since it’s in the trunk I can fill my tires anywhere I go if I need to.

Or I have it available if someone else needs it.

If you can fill your tires inside your garage, I’m jealous! My garage is so small and crammed with junk that I can barely fit the car in there! It doesn’t help that the idiot former owner built a gigantic L-shaped workbench in there.

If you have a garage, I’m jealous! 😁 I have a (🤬) gravel driveway.

I might move this summer: if I do, it will definitely be to a place with a garage!

We have two cars, they fit fine with the items we have in the garage. We don’t clutter it up too much.

I have one workbench in there, but it’s pretty small; it’s actually just a long kitchen cabinet with a wooden surface that someone was tossing out when they remodeled their kitchen, and we got it for free. It’s not particularly deep or long (that’s what she said) and it’s just large enough for some small projects I have without cluttering up the garage. We also have some shallow wire shelving units on either side of the garage. Still plenty of room for our cars.

It helps that my car is really small (2017 Chevy Spark), so small that there are only two back seats.

You have driveway, what I wouldn’t give to have a driveway! I have a small strip of sidewalk that I rent from the paper factory, where I have to work for in order to pay for the strip!

But if you tell that to anyone these days, they won’t believe a word of it.

As to compressors, my father gave me an handheld one that uses Ryobi batteries. No messing around with a cord to the cigarette lighter (if they are still called that), just walk around and insert air. Each of my vehicles has a compressor in them, but if I am at home I can easily pump things up with the handheld. Also, I do not know if you have access to it, but a lot of Costco locations have free air (actually nitrogen) for members, though I have never seen anyone check if you are one or not.

All this air compressor talk comes at the perfect time, since I got a nice big “LOW TIRE PRESSURE” on the dashboard this morning (not to be confused with the “TPM SYSTEM ERROR” that’s been up there for a few months). Sure enough, I have a single tire that’s suddenly about 8 PSI off from the others. And of course they’re newish. 🤦‍♀️

(I’ve got a DeWalt compressor I can haul around with me.)

> My latest minirant: some time back, a certain mail order pharmacy known as Dropped’em quit putting the reversible caps on their pill bottles, in favor of purely “adult-proof” ones. Now, I don’t have any real issue with that myself, but in 10 years, who knows. I’ve taken to saving the caps from older bottles and using them on the new ones.

I’ve been getting my prescriptions filled at CVS and years ago I put in a standing request for non-childproof caps. I have all my prescriptions delivered now, and for some reason my latest prescription came with child-proof caps. So I called the pharmacy and after jumping through all the hoops I was able to speak to a real person. I explained my problem and was assured that the note about the caps would be restored to my account. They then offered to send me a replacement cap, but I assured them that I was able to swap out an older cap.

Dear apartment complex laundry room users: please refrain from jamming the coin slots with obviously bent/dented quarters. It’s very vexing to discover _ **after** _ I’ve loaded the washer and put the detergent in. The least you can do is leave a note saying the machine is out of order.

Background:
I live in a tall building. Which means riding an elevator multiple times a day. Sometimes alone, sometimes with 5 other people. Multiple stops are common. You need to tap your fob on the security reader on the elevator control panel before the floor buttons work to request your floor.

Rant:
Why do clueless neighbors get on, tap their fob, pick their floor, and then stand there with their lardass 6" from the control panel in an otherwise empty elevator? So when somebody else (read “me”) gets on at another floor I either need to get real up close and personal with you to select my floor, bump you out of the way, or interrupt your reverie / text message session to get you to notice there’s another human inside this little box with you and you are occupying the one and only space they need to get to. Then I get to wait for you to sloooowly and grudgingly shuffle aside 3 inches. So I still get in your shit reaching the only controls.

When I get in an empty elevator, I order my floor and go stand in the diagonally opposite corner from the panel. Is that so hard? Evidently it is.
😡 🤬

Other people: they actually exist and you all should think of them too, not solely yourself.

Good idea. But you can’t exit at most floors and since nobody ever uses them for inter-floor access, any injury you suffer in there will leave you dying in place unnoticed unless you can drag yourself to an exit and get out into a public hallway.

If you’re going up stairs & you trip & you’re not holding on to the handrail to ~~catch~~ propel yourself you’re falling into the stairs, which means not very far. IOW, it’s _very_ tough to get injured climbing _up_ stairs.

I can think of several times when I’ve been going up a flight of stairs too quickly, tripped, and landed on one of my knees…often on/near the edge of the next step…banging it up badly enough to need assistance getting out of the stairwell.

But maybe I’m just special. 😁

Oh ye of little faith. I’ve broken bones by the sheer act of standing up.

Yes, you’re likelier to injure yourself WORSE going down the stairs.

I’ve been injured pretty badly on stairs, including broken bones, but it has always been going down stairs.

Well, I did have a badly-bruised big toe once from going up stairs, but that was because my shoes didn’t fit properly, a shoe literally fell off my foot and caused me to trip and kick a stair, injuring my toe. Then again, I could have been injured on flat ground with that happening, and thank GOD it didn’t happen when going down stairs or it would have been a shit ton worse.
