In the US, the Secret Service is entrusted with pursuing counterfeiters.
My experience would suggest that they are VERY interested in chasing banknote counterfeiters, and NOT interested in chasing coin counterfeiters.
I have personal experience in this matter. You’ll just have to take my word for what I’ve said.
Catching a banknote counterfeiter who has produced $250,000. in fake bills sounds good on your resume. Adding a mintmark to a rare coin doesn’t cut it. :mad:
