**HelloNinja** did the CBS upfront not include _Miami Trauma_? Nikki Fincke is saying it may be shunted to midseason. ---

They did mention \*\*Miami Trauma \*\*as a midseason show but they didn’t have any clips for us to watch. Just gave the name in passing so I forgot all about it. I don’t think they even said what the whole thing was about except that it was a medical show in Miami. ---

Like, are you trying to prepick the hits so you can lock in lower rates for shows that take off and will raise their rates later? ---

Actually, Ivylass and I did [one of those awhile back](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=388725). It was more of a broad “Ask the Media Professionals” thread, but it went pretty well. Short answer to your question is yes. They do these upfronts so we can lock in our advertising schedules early. It’s always a gamble though since the shows could tank. ---
