Aw right, LISSEN UP! All active-duty and reserve military please check in. Just CHECK IN, you don’t have to actually write ennythang funny or clever, Private Joker. Service, rank and duty station, if you feel like it (and if it’s not classified). Myself, I’m a Technical Sergeant (E-6) in the U.S. Air Force, proudly serving at Fort Meade, Maryland. I’d love to know how many comrades I’ve got out there. As for the veterans, I want to say this: Thanks for everything. Your service, your time, your blood and sacrifice. Thanks for all we have as Americans. We all owe you BIG. I would LOVE it if the vets would start a roll-call, too. ---

yes sergeant. was active duty, finished up in the National Guard, ETS as of last month! (Thank the Lord!!!) Corporal, (E-4), 11Bravo(Infantry) in the U.S. Army. served at Ft.Benning, Ft.Drum trained at Ft.Benning, Ft.Bragg, Ft.Polk, Ft.Drum, Ft.Dix, Westpoint, Camp Smith. It was fun while it lasted, at least active duty, but the Guard unit sucked. No organization, total goat-f\*$#! I am now an official Civilian with IRR (Inactive Ready Reserve) status for the next two years. Wow, i was just down in Ft.Meade this weekend, going back this next weekend for the fireworks at the reflection pool. Happy 4th all. ---

Four years active duty Air Force, stationed in Torrejon, Spain, and then Lackland AFB, TX (from 78-82), forced out. Joined Air Force Guard in 92, still in. Just spent 2 weeks at Prince Sultan AB, Saudi . E-5, waiting for a retirement so I can sew on E-6 ---

[ul] [li]Entered Sep. 1988[/li][li]Naval Nuclear Propulsion training pipeline (that means I run the reactor & push the ship) in Orlando, FL and Windsor, CT.[/li][li]USS Alexander Hamilton, SSBN-617[/li][li]USS Ohio, SSBN-726[/li][li]USS Tennessee, SSBN-734[/li][li]Trident Refit Facility, King’s Bay, GA[/li][/ul] And now, after 12 years, I’m getting the \*&#$ out and going to make some real money. Well, since the vets and retirees are posting here too, I’ll go ahead. Basic Training: **Ft. Leonard Wood, MO** (fall-winter, 1987) AIT: **Ft. Sam Houston, TX** (winter-spring, 1988) MOS: **91A** –Combat Medic National Guard Duty Station: **159th MASH** ; Jackson Barracks, New Orleans/Arabi, LA Assigned Duty: Medic in field hospital post-op ward; also in pre-op and triage. Desert Storm pre-mob: **Ft. Polk, LA** Active Service: –In the godforsaken desert of Saudi Arabia –Provided medical support for the 3rd Armored Division (Spearhead) –Went in with advanced party troops during the ground invasion into Iraq. (Witnessed a really neat tank battle.) –Stationed in Iraq until unit mobilization to return home. Played out the string in Guard status; separated 1995; continued education; went to grad school; yadda, yadda, yadda. ---

Chief Petty Officer (Journalist/PA Spec), USN 18 years. Among my duty stations are: USS Yosemite (AD-19); USS Nimitz (CVN-68); Navy Broadcasting Sigonella, Sicily; Naval Weapons Station Earle, Colt’s Neck, NJ; and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) Presently deployed to the Arabian Gulf. ---

Midshipman First Class, United States Navy Reserve Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute I’ll be an Ensign in January, and from what I’ve seen from Star Trek, I’m not sure I like that idea. I’ll be most likely going off to Surface Warfare Officer School in Newport, Rhode Island in January as well. After six months there, they’ll send me to a ship somewhere, most likely (assuming I get one of my top four choices) somewhere in the Pacific. ---

We used to send newbies from one building to another looking for “prop wash” and “flight line.” HHC 8th Infantry Division, Bad Kreuznach, Germany Air Traffic Control, Specialist 5, Tower Chief Basic at Ft. Lewis, AIT at Keesler AFB, one tour in FROG. 1/69 - 1/72 I remain, Myself ---
