Eva Duarte was a loose woman and might have been a prostitute. Juan Peron apparently fell in love with her.
One of the things I liked about the movie _EVITA_ was how it handled her probable prostitution phase in the _Another Suitcase in Another Hall_ tango montage.

You’re thinking of _Goodnight and Thank You_, the song between _Another Suitcase in Another Hall_ which has Magaldi throwing Evita out and _A New Argentina_, where she meets Peron. Eva apparently had quote a few lovers during that time, but whether they paid her or not is unclear.

I have vague recollections of a short lived sitcom a few years ago on ABC with Jonathan Silverman’s lead character falling in love with Kelly Hu’s character who worked in a “massage parlor”. The show was quite blatant about what was going on in the parlor, and I think they even met there (or re-met there, they’d previously gone to school together or something like that).

If you define prostitute as a woman who is paid to have sex, there is a relationship between assassin John Rain, and a woman who seduces targets for Israeli intelligence, that spans multiple novels by Barry Eisler. Highly recommended.

Idiocracy, I believe. Isn’t Maya Rudolph’s character a hooker?

No. To me the tango [montage between 1:50-2:20 implies](http://youtu.be/x4SYWmwVIVo?t=1m48s) (without stating) actual prostitution. By _Goodnight and Thank You_ she’s more courtesan and opportunistic relationships than an actual money-for-sex prostitute.

I almost mentioned _Lonesome Dove_. Gus certainly loves Lorena although he’s not in love with her the way he is with Clara.

While Fonda’s character’s did leave Cheyenne with few regrets. It was not quite the case with Stewart’s character. There was clearly something there.

The [Belisarius series](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belisarius_series) has Belsarius who is in love with Antonia, Justinian with Theodora, Eon with Tarabai, and Valentinian with Dhruva. Antonia and Theodora are both _former_ prostitutes by the time the series starts.

I don’t think Travis Bickle was actually “in love” with the young prostitute or even all that sexually attracted to her. She was more an object to be rescued.
