My friend’s wife looks just like Jodie Foster. talks like her too. creeps me out… i recently met a dude who sounds like the guy who played Randall in CLERKS. I didn’t think he looked too much like the actor until I saw a recent pic of the actor who has “filled out” so to speak. Now he looks like this dude i recently met AND they sound alike. weird. ---

This one guy whose groceries I rang up a week or so ago (his debit card didn’t work in our machine, he had to go elsewhere and take out money and leave the groceries behind the counter) looked exactly like the guy who plays Jack on Will & Grace, I swear. Not that I watch Will & Grace. But what would he be doing at a dingy grocery in Toronto? 😕 ---

I dated a guy that looked remarkably like Josh Harnett, especially the way he looked in _The Faculty_. Worked at the same Denny’s where there had been waiter that looked like Toby Macguire. ---

A friend who I used to share a house with looks a fair bit like Angelina Jolie. Whenever I say that, there’s alway about ten guys asking to be introduced. She’s engaged, lads. Another friend of mine is an absolute deadringer for Callista Flockhart. ---

Robert Newman. Spitting image of him, except he seems a little bit shorter than Newman. When I first started working in the city, I am pretty sure Robert Newman did walk past me one afternoon. A few days later, I was certain I saw him waiting at the entrance to the track, waiting for someone coming off the train - I was so convinced that I almost walked up to him to ask if he was. It was months later that the lookalike started riding the train, so now I’m not sure if the first 2 sightings were actually the lookalike, or Newman himself, or all the sightings were, in fact, Robert Newman. Which reminds me of last winter. They had doubled up trains because of weather related problems on the tracks. By the time I got on the train there was barely even standing room. I was standing by a set of seats that faced each other, and there was a good-natured group of women sitting there, and a woman standing, facing me. All through the train ride, we all chatted, and I tried desperately to figure out why the woman facing me looked so familiar. Eventually, the group got off and the woman and I sat down across from each other. The recognition factor was driving me insane. I am pretty sure she knew that I was staring at her (as surreptitiously as I could), but she remained friendly and conversational. Finally it dawned on me - she looked exactly like Catherine Crier from Court TV. I checked out what she was reading - it appeared to be some sort of legal opinion, with a Post-It Note stuck to it that read “C- Do you need this?” When I got home, I looked up her biography, and based on where she got off, the chances are very good that it was indeed her. Funny, I’ve only seen her show a couple of times, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t like her style on the show (although in reflection, I can never figure out if I confuse her style with Nancy Grace’s - I have watched Crier in a long time). Perfectly pleasant person in a normal situation though. ---

There’s a kid who works at the local movie theater who looks A LOT like Elijah Wood, complete with Frodo hair. When Return of the King came out in theaters, he was dressed like Frodo for the first night. Adorable. ---

When he was in his teens (this was when \*Beverley Hills 90210 \* was at its peak) my brother looked incredibly similar to Jason Priestley. One time when we were at the shopping mall together there were these two girls who kept following him and whispering to each other. Before we left, he turned around and said ‘Yes. Yes, I am (dramatic pause) Jason Priestley.’ and bowed to them. They were so starry eyed they just stammered how much they loved him with tears in their eyes. He thanked them in a serious tone of voice said he loved them too. Thankfully they were too overcome and starstruck to follow him further because it would have looked really bad to see J.P. getting into an ancient yellow Mazda hatch, which was my car at the time. 😃 (My brother has a really sick sense of humour, but even though I was horrified when he actually did it, I have to admit I cried laughing once we’d escaped.) ---

I used to hang out with a girl who just just about the spittin’ image of Britney Spears. I mean, almost identical. People have stopped Tia, thinking she WAS the talentless T&A. We went out of town for a few days together, and ended up in Chicago. We were at dinner, and people kept looking and pointing. Finally, she stood up, threw a glass of water in my face, and screamed, “You fucking cocksucker! How DARE you do that to me! Don’t you know who I am?” People started looking around to see exactly who Britney Spears was yelling at. Then she stormed out of the place, went back to the hotel, and damn near died laughing. I showed up about 20 minutes later, also laughing. Thinking back, that night was some of the best sex I’d ever had. ---

Tuesday I was sitting at the front desk and wondering why Mike Tyson was bringing flowers into the office. Turns out he’s the SO of a new co-worker, and his name is Raymond. But he was the closest look-alike I have even seen. Even had a gap in his front teeth. I also saw someone at NYC’s Academy Records who either was Johnny Depp or reasonable facsimile.
