Not only did it sound like “effin’ cry”, but at least once Fox also Closed Captioned it as “effin’ cry” . I didn’t even realize the possibility until that happened – I always believed, and still do, that he says “laugh and cry”.

That was the episode where Peter seceded from the United States for about a week. The end was a take to the future, where it was shown as if the entire episode was shown in a history class.
