This might not be the right forum but…y’know

Anyways, does anyone know any decent _free_ websites i could look at to find stuff out about ancestors?(I’m english if that makes a difference).

my trick was to start putting family names into a good search engine, i found that someone had already done the legwork and the missing parts of their family tree was on my end, i traced my family back many generations in about 25 minutes.
