In [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=538589) we find that David Bowie ( **MrSquishy** ) and Peter Weller ( **NoClueBoy** ) are, surprisingly, not only Dopers but suddenly willing to out themselves. Now I concede that there is a slight chance that one or both were merely joshing, however I can now say that I post on a message board where one of the posters is “reportedly” David Bowie/Peter Weller. I can then embellish the story to taste: He seems like a decent bloke/asshole/fucking idiot. He only/often/never posts about his work and, surprisingly, is really active in threads about cooking/photography/gerbils. To cover for any awkward questions I will close with: He hasn’t posted for a while because he was banned by the fascist Mods/being stalked by some fanboy poster/too cheap to pay the subscription. YES there ARE message boards that you have to PAY for, I am NOT making this up!! Anyhow we need a greater array of famous people (and much more modern ones I might add. No-one will want to hear about David Bowie and Peter Weller, except people who took them in the Death Pool for this year). I hear Michael Jackson used to post here but I guess I started this thread a little too late. So let’s hear from all the famous types out there. I suspect that MrSquishy may be pulling your leg. While his profile page is sparse, it mentions that he was born in '71, and is a computer tech (well, lists his profession as “computer stuff”) in Edmonton, Canada. Somehow, I just don’t think that’s an alias that Bowie would dream up for himself. For the record, I’ve seen posts from wayyy back from dopers claiming to be Richard Dreyfuss and Kelsey Grammar. No clue if those claims were verified in any way. ---
