The Bandit’s hat in Smokey and the Bandit. Significant because he only takes it off for one reason.

There’s J.J.'s hat in _Good Times_. He even wore it to bed.

Also note Barney Fife’s cap in _Andy Griffith_. Nothing unusual about a cap being part of a lawman’s uniform except, character-wise, it was very telling. Wearing it most of the time signified Barney’s straitlaced approach to law and order and his need of it to show who was in charge; laid back Andy _hardly ever_ wore his.

In the movie Stand By Me, Gordie’s deceased brother Denny had given him [this baseball cap](http://www.moviewallpapers.net/wallpapers/standbyme/2_1024.jpg), which gets stolen by that bastard Kiefer Sutherland.
