Famous Hats of Film and Literature (Spoilers Possible)

The Bandit’s hat in Smokey and the Bandit. Significant because he only takes it off for one reason.

How about the hat shoot-off in For A Few Dollars More between Monco and Col. Douglas Mortimer?

There’s J.J.'s hat in Good Times. He even wore it to bed.

Also note Barney Fife’s cap in Andy Griffith. Nothing unusual about a cap being part of a lawman’s uniform except, character-wise, it was very telling. Wearing it most of the time signified Barney’s straitlaced approach to law and order and his need of it to show who was in charge; laid back Andy hardly ever wore his.

In the movie Stand By Me, Gordie’s deceased brother Denny had given him this baseball cap, which gets stolen by that bastard Kiefer Sutherland.

That trick never works.
