Everything will be fine-I know that (he/she) won’t be getting back until tomorrow evening. Sure you can use that to light the grill. Standing up on this part of the ride is WAY fun! These critters are so used to people, they’re practically pets. Of COURSE it’s a dud. Yes, I’m certain the power is off. ---

I’m obligated to plug one of my favorite episodes of _This American Life_. This particular episode, [Last Words](http://www.thislife.org), was recommended to me by a Doper in another thread. The show debunks Wilde’s alleged last words about the wallpaper. It also claims that when one of the mobsters that fixed the 1919 World Series was asked who was responsible for shooting (stabbing? Can’t remember) him he said, “Me mudder did it.” He wasn’t going to die a rat. ---

Famous female impersonator Bert Savoy was killed by lightning while walking with friends on Jones Beach in 1923. Rumor has it when the storm began rumbling, he looked up and said, “Mmm–mm! Ain’t Miss God kickin’ up somethin’ fierce!” and was promptly struck down. ---
