Just lately I’ve been looking for interesting art work to display on my monitor at work. Just something to enliven the day. There are many high-quality images of famous paintings on the net but by chance I came across a parody and from then on have searched out the unusual. [L.H.O.O.Q.](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L.H.O.O.Q.), by Marcel Duchamp. It’s understated as a parody, but it’s a famous work in its own right. Also, bonus: it’s supposedly a French pun. ---

I was just at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. In the bookstore there I saw a book of Fine Art parodies. There was a whole section devoted to Hopper’s _Nighthawks_.
