According to wikipedia I share a birthday with several soccer players and an actor: Jaque Fourie, South African rugby union footballer Akeem Omolade, Nigerian footballer Ryan Lonie, Australian football player Dante Senger, Argentine footballer Adam Deacon, English Actor Also, the day I was born, the first woman was appointed to the Supreme court of Canada. I note with some dismay that March 4th, 1519 is the date HernƔn CortƩs arrived in Mexico. ---

On my exact birthdate: Jerry Chamberlin, an ā€œAmerican musicianā€ who I must confess Iā€™d never heard ofā€¦nor did I know any of his bands when I looked him up. Apparently several country-rock outfits that enjoyed only regional or under-the-radar success (one album produced by Al Perkinsā€¦at least I know who that is!). Same day, different year: George Harrison Emitt Rhodes (two years before meā€¦a real hero of mine, so I was thrilled when I found out about this several years ago) Faron Young (great country singer ā€“ committed suicide in 1996) Doug Yule (The Velvet Underground) ā€¦others of some renown, but itā€™s the musicians that count most for me. ---
