Because of this thread I am now looking for animals when I see names. In the credits of a TV show I was watching there was a Rufus Hound. But, I guess he’s not famous. ---

It depends on your definition of “Famous”, but at Rutgers University the anthropology department had, until last year, both **Lionel Tiger** and **Robin Fox** (Fox died in January 2024) ---

A Beaver has been mentioned above, but _Supernatural_ and _Deadwood_ actor Jim **Beaver** is probably more famous. As a bonus, he’s also a Doper under the name @jumblejim, though he hasn’t posted here for almost 20 years. ---
