In the popstars-girls-squeal-for-who-leave-me-cold category, I’d also like to put forth the following: **Ricky Martin** : My roommates in uni would practically drop their panties when the video for Living La Vida Loca would come on because he was SOOOOO HOT. Meanwhile, I’d be begging to change the channel because all I could see was an animatronic Ken Doll with a fake tan gyrating to a really bad song. Yawn. **Justin Timberlake** : I’ll agree that he’s not horrendously ugly (unlike the rest of his bandmates from the Nsync days), but he’s not exactly all that and a bag of chips either. Again, yawn. **Usher** : Actually, he’s pretty hot from the neck down if you’re into washboard abs. But the face? _shudder_ ---

I have a lot of those. Brad Pitt: Ugh. I agree that he looks like he needs a shower most of the time. I did like him in “Fight Club,” though. Benicio Del Toro: It thoroughly escapes me how anyone could find this man attractive. He looks like he needs a bath even more than Brad does. And lest anyone accuse me of prejudice against Hispanic guys–Antonio Banderas is just fine, thanks. 🙂 So was Ricardo Montalban in his day. 🙂 Angelina Jolie: Good God, woman! Deflate those lips! They’re going to explode! Pamela Anderson, and Anna Nicole Smith: cut from the same mold. Trashy, over-made-up, over-fake-boobed…\ No, thanks. Josh Hartnett: Ugh. The guy who plays Joey on “Friends”: Double ugh. Russell Crowe: Ditto. Matt Damon: He looks like a monkey. Nicolas Cage: He always strikes me as a vaguely tired old man. ---

What he is, is one of the top actors in the business. That’s why he gets work. As for Antonio Banderes, I have to be honest, i’ve never understood the appeal of him, but what do I know, i’m a guy. ---

**Tom Cruise** , though I admittedly am colored by the fact that he’s lost his ever loving mind. Although even I will admit that if you can get past that fact, _physically_ he looks much better in his pyscho Scientologist video than he does in recent pictures. His hair is waaay too long and has no shape to it. I’m not a fan of “feminine” men: **Johnny Depp, Zac Effron, Brad Pitt** …they all leave me cold. Give me some muscles and more testosterone, please. Who DO I find attractive? Masculine men with just a hint of wild: **Mark Wahlberg, Daniel Day-Lewis, Seal, Oded Fehr, David Boreanaz**. I thought Heath Ledger was really handsome, too (may he RIP). The hottest actor working today, though, IMO, is **Matthew Fox**. As far as women go, I thirty second **Julia Roberts**. I also don’t think **Gwyneth Paltrow** is anything special. I think Angelina Jolie needs to put on weight, but I think she’s pretty gorgeous. ---

**Denzel Washington** - He’s a fairly good looking man and a damn fine actor, but I’ve heard people absolutely RAVING about his good looks. Personally, I find him pretty average-looking. I even remember a movie where a couple black women were talking about one of their husbands: “He’s sexy, but he’s not _Denzel_ sexy.” I suspect it’s because there’s a kind of a vacuum in the black leading actor category. Maybe Denzel’s sex appeal will fade a bit if Djimon Hounsou starts getting bigger roles (he’s the guy from _Gladiator_ and _Blood Diamond_). Now there’s a fine-looking chap. I want to thank this thread for all the comments about **Julia Roberts**. She’s sold to the public as a sex symbol, and I have NEVER gotten it: I’ve always assumed I was just crazy. It’s so nice to hear that others feel the same way. ---

Some controversial choices so far. Well, there’s certainly no accounting for taste, but Demi Moore, never anything other than ordinary there, yet _that’s not what you hear_. Ms Spears at her peak of fitness, fame and glamour, likewise. Mentioned before and needs repeating. Michael Douglas; Positively unappealing. ---

Does anyone think Michael Douglas isn’t a haggard old geez at this point? Although I do think he used to be sexy in the 80s. Pre-meltdown Britney Spears was one of those girls who looked exactly like 30 other girls in my high school class. Nothing special. But perhaps that was part of her allure. ---
