There are two charming little villages in the Cotswolds (UK) called Upper and Lower Slaughter.

Well, the full name of **Los Angeles** is _El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula_, or in English: “The Town of Our Lady the Queen of Angels of the Porciúncula River.” That sounds pretty fairy-tale to my ears.

That reminds me of [Great Snoring](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Snoring) in North Norfolk.
