Although I didn’t get to know you very well, last night was remarkable. I took great joy in making your home a pleasant place to live. I carefully placed pebbles on your bed as to remind you of home. I fed you scrumptious globes of Bio-Gold. I marveled at your grace and beauty as you danced about your domain. As I awoke this morning I was prepared to greet you and relish our first morning together, but I suppose it wasn’t meant to be. At first I dared to hope that you were merely a heavy sleeper. I gently tapped on your abode, but you remained lifeless. Hope gave way to panic and then sorrow; you are gone forever, my beloved Booger. I know you are in a better place and free of the pains of this world. Please keep Booger in your thoughts and prayers. I do find solace in the fact that my daughter will be spared the grief of his absence, as she had yet to meet him. Please, somebody tell me my story was funny. My attempt at being humorously melodramatic seemes to have failed. I only hope that some of you were afraid to laugh in much the same way that a person is afraid to ask an overweight woman if she’s pregnant. Oh well, off to the pet store to try again. Booger II awaits. ---

For a moment there, I was thinking this was an obituary for [Curtis Armstrong](http://us.imdb.com/Name?Armstrong,%20Curtis). You could always buy a [striped convict](http://www.cybercichlids.com/femstripe.htm). They’re tough little fish, you can feed them guppies, and they breed like rabbits! ---

When I was little I had a betta for 4 years! I think that’s a betta record. I cried when he died. ---

Goodbye, Booger. He’ll join my betta, Bruce Lee (who lived 2.5 years) and Zen (who only made it 5 days). I’m not sure if I should replace him or just put another plant in the office. He did charm the visitors. Maybe I’ll get a new betta and a new tank, just for good measure.
