I really wanted to see henchman (did they ever name him?) fall thru the window… but I like what they did better - since it took them both down several notches. The look on his face when he walked into Varga’s office was just fantastic.
The Asian henchman? That’s Meemo( named by Varga several episodes ago ).
Loved the Adventures of Nikki and Mr. Wrench, Avenging Angels( err…blackmailers ). Loved Emmit’s confession. And I loved Carrier Coon getting just a little love and recognition at the end, even if it was just a hug from a traffic cop and some respect from an accommodating automatic sink/soap dispenser.

I think it might have been Emmit, since he was planning on turning himself in anyway.
It was the IRS agent - the timing seems short for it to be Nikki or Emmit, but it certainly could be either one.

Nikki just got all of that information so it could have been her but then it sort of defeats the purpose of the blackmail.
It could be Varga setting Emmit up for a fall.
Not necessarily - she wants to hurt Varga and exposing him AND ripping him off would be a win-win. Get him to spit out some money( remember they only gave him 1 day to pay up ) and then deal with the blow-back from the IRS.
But I agree it could be Emmit trying to rebel or Varga setting up Emmit for the final phase of his plan.

She definitely has the info on Varga’s bank accounts. We don’t know if that suitcase contained Stussy’s books or not.
Maybe she has info on both Stussy Lots and Varga’s finances and sent both.
There was a comment from Varga about making sure that Emmit signed ‘those papers’ (to Meemo) - so, I don;t think Varga wants him to fall ‘just yet’ - and with his current state of mind (as referenced at the police station, etc) it would be easy for Emmit to just ‘commit suicide’ and it be believable by anyone except our invisible [strike]chief[/strike] deputy.
The best part about this show is that we can’t quite be sure what will happen next.
I’m leaning towards it being Emmit who sent those docs to the IRS; for one, it seems to be the only way for him to get out and take Varga down at this point, but mainly because of something I saw in the promo for next week’s episode (which I’m not sure I’m allowed to mention here so I’ll refrain).

The ex-con they arrested in this episode? (asian guy in red car) - did NOT kill Ennis.
In fact - he didn’t kill any of them - Meemo did - they just gave enough evidence, etc so that the new asian guy was completely believable as the killer.
The ex-con that Ray was supervising killed Ennis.

I’m trying to remember if they ever showed it, or if he ever confessed to Ray & Nikki that he did it, but do we know for certain that Maurice LeFay killed Ennis Stussy?
With recent events I began thinking that maybe Varga planned all along to killing Stussy’s as part of his long range plan. The gluing the mouth shut & nose shut sounds strange enough that Varga would come up with it and Meemo would do it and that Maurice making the mistake of going to Ennis’ house was just a coincidence.
Or am I just reading too much into all of this.
Yes! This has been bugging me from the start. Maurice wasn’t supposed to kill anyone–he was sent to steal a stamp. If he actually did end up killing the guy, it wouldn’t have been in such a sophisticated way. I mean, seriously, the guy was a drugged up dumbass.
They didn’t show him in the house. Gloria hears footsteps when she finds Ennis but doesn’t see anyone.
And no, Maurice doesn’t confess, he says something vague like “was the guy your friend? It’s a shame what happened to him” or something like that, (I’d have to re-watch it).
I feel like Ennis was already dead when Maurice arrived.
Right before the two new Stussy murders didn’t Varga talk about proceeding to stage 4 or stage 5 of the plan? Any theories on that?
I had not considereed this, and find it interesting - but I do have to wonder what Varga has to gain by killing Ennis (who wasnt related).
I could have sworn (up until readin gthese two posts) that Maurice did confess to killing Ennis in the bathroom scene with nikki and Ray.
