Fargo S3

Yes but I think that a huge percentage of affairs among regular folk involve co-workers who work closely together.

But didn’t you note my point, that you rarely see actors who play siblings or coworkers (not involved with each other) hook up in real life? It happens sometimes, but far more often it’s the ones who are pretending to be couples onscreen.

I don’t know if it would be the same for you or me( assuming you aren’t an actor ). I think it was the director Alexander Payne that I heard mention in passing( referencing a Margo Martindale performance )that one of the things that makes a good actor good is their ability to conjure up genuine-seeming emotions on cue. And that that talent is the exact same reason many actors have frequent relationship problems - they have a tendency to fall into and out of love( or infatuation )much more easily than “normals.”

So you’re kissing and canoodling with your very attractive co-star and pretending to love them and BAM! Suddenly pretend becomes reality or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof.

Has anybody here ever seen MacGregor’s motorcycle documentaries “Long Way Round” and “Long Way Down”? After seeing how his wife behaved around him in those, my question to him would be “22 years? What took you so long?” (It might also explain why he decided to leave home for months at a time, not once but twice, on a long-ass motorcycle trip… :stuck_out_tongue: )

Right, exactly. Sort of like those psychological experiments where they tell subjects to move their facial expressions in minute ways, without looking in a mirror, and then self-report their emotions. People tended to feel happier if they were made to smile, sadder if made to frown, etc.

You can see no fewer than four Fargo alumni in the new Spielberg movie about the Pentagon Papers, The Post:
