Coded message, coded message!!!
Oh, maybe not.
Just those crazy Ozzies yacking it up, again. Funny lot they are.
To be sure, Mangeorge, Aussie vernacular is a code all of it’s own - no doubts about it. We get a real hoot giving American visitors a dose of it when you’re down here.
And it has to be said, we have an unfair advantage too. The nature of American culture is that nowadays, it’s all too pervasive - in so far as American TV shows and movies are all over the place - so we Aussies know all about YOUR vernacular and slang and stuff, but it tends to be largely one way and little outside vernacular tends to get IN to the USA.
As a result, we get to keep our little uniqueisms to ourselves, and every now and then, we get the opportunity to flog it like crazy in a thread like this - more with a view to just plain confusing you and being in on the joke as it were.
Thanks for going along with laughs.
yeah right mate, so sorry, point taken, wont happen again.
my drainpipes are in pretty good nik thus far, wouldnt want no mod stuffin them up hey?
posting the lyrics was intended to illustrate the engenuity of Australians to shape and mould the English language so that very few, cept us, could appreciate it, understand its meaning.
i mean, the the bloke, Austen Tayshus, is a genius.
he gave permission for the lyrics to be made avail, i thought that was good nuff to be worth the hassle of making it avail to the yankees, see if they would appreciate its humour.
dont got my hopes up tho.
thanks for your warning words of wisdom.
