I rarely both to sift, but I usually get out a small whisk, since I’ll probably use it for something else in the same recipe. Hubby made cream cheese brownies today, which is his first time making something I haven’t made before. His other first was cracking the egg and putting the egg in with the shells instead of in the cup. I think wood (my desk at home) just seems warmer than steel. I think I sort of have two nicknames, but there’s no confusion. (Except for my normal confusion.) Not sleeping so wonderfully due to a number of reasons. Need to make sure I stretch my calves before I go to bed, as otherwise they seem to tighten up during the night. For the bad sleeing patterns, my doctor suggested evening primrose might be useful, so I could try that, as I’m at that age. Bought some forced hyacinths at the grocery store. Hope they actually bloom. I know they’ll make my eyes water, but they’re pretty and smell good. And due to the misnaming of Buttercup, I’m now wondering how **shoe** knows Pretzel is a she. But maybe I don’t want to know. Time to settle down and watch the boob tube. Brownies are cooling. If they are edible enough, we’re taking them to a friend’s house tomorrow evening. ---

Afternoon all. Went out and dropped off the electric bill at the dropoff box nearby, and when I got home, the mailman had delivered the water bill, so I filled out the check and took that down to the local office and paid it. Came home to find the garbage had been picked up, so moved the can back into the garage, so the needed chores for the day have been completed. **Sunny** , I think most of us have **nettie** and **nellie** pretty well sorted out, they have both posted long enough to be distinct personalities (as are you). Sad news about Mom’s cat, is she thinking about another one? And you know, after that comment by **Maus Magill** , you may have a winner…short, apparent reference to the person…I like it, what do the rest of you think? **nellie** , looking forward to your paintcharge MMP name; I still haven’t a clue. **boo fae** , good luck with the solicitor and as for work, I love the term "dog’s breakfast’, even if I’m never sure exactly what it means… **talky** , I used to be nervous about speaking until I was on, then it was OK, I’m sure you did well. And reorgs are scary…and at the minimum annoying as hell. **doggio** , glad you brakes worked when the other guy’s brain didn’t. **DIeC** , I think I’ve seen at least 4; Die, Dice, DieC, and Dicey. Since they all point to you, not a big thing, IMHO. And hope sleep comes to you more easily, it’s my favorite time of the day… **BBBoo** , that’s a great idea for **Taters** (and shouldn’t his/her MMP name be **Spud**? **FCM** , hope this is the start of Parents-in-Law realizing that they can’t keep up with the status quo. Roxy has gone home. I’ve got a pot of chickie noodle soup on the stove made with my own homemade stock and some of the chickie leftover from earlier this week. The rest of the leftover chickie will become chickie salad tomorrow. Have I used the word chickie enough in one sentence?? **FCD** called when he hit SC and I expect to hear from him within a half hour from GA. By my rough computations, he should get to his folks’ place by 10. The question is - can I stay awake till 10?? If nothing else, I should have the latest lap robe done by then. Glad it’s almost supper time - the soup smells yum and I’s hongree! And I like **Sherwin** - it’s inspired! 😉 ---

Howdy Y’all! Laundry got accomplished. Go Us! Also we went to the hog trough Golden Corral, so we’ve been fed well. Gettin’ cloudy out and looks like rain will move in sometimes this evenin’. I think Wizard and Sherwin are great nicknames. So mote it be! I have a date, and it’s not romantic. Two weeks from now, I should be recovering from the bellyectomy. Just scheduled time away from work. The surgery is on Wednesday, Monday the 15th is a holiday, making Tuesday a completely useless day. Not entirely useless - it will be 💩 clean-out day so I’ll be uninterested in work. 😱 Thanks to the pandemic, I’m looking at 2-3 nights stay in hospital with no visitors. 😭 ---

**Gotti** I’m glad you got it scheduled. I imagine it’ll be good to get it done. Depending on the pandemic by then, you might be able to have a visitor. I was in the hospital shortly before Christmas, and I was allowed 1 visitor at a time. +Fingers crossed+ ---

I seriously doubt we’ll get from the current purple status to yellow, jumping right over red and orange. Three weeks ago, they probably wouldn’t have even scheduled the surgery as we were in “no available ICU capacity” territory. The current scheme is going to look like **PWAISDN** drops me off curbside and goes to work on Wednesday. Then on Friday or Saturday, the hospital people call him to fetch me. But, I know the hospital (less than two years old) has all private rooms, so FaceTime won’t be a problem. ---

Short handed at irk this morning, so it has been a very tiring and stressful day. Decided to throw some business at the local sushi joint on my way home, because I’m just _beat_ and hot soup and cold fish sounded damn good. Maximum chillage is about to ensue, and I expect to be in bed earrrrrrrrly tonight. We’re supposed to get a ton of snow overnight, and really cold weather in a day or two. Yay, fun. ---

It was a slow day at irk, so I knocked off at lunch and went to Fleet Feet for a couple of pair of sneakers that don’t kill my bum ankle, knee, hip and back. $300 later, I have two pair that have made a difference already. Once home, I found that the stuffed bone Sis made for Nelson had been _loved_ to death. Once I cleaned up the fluff, we went for a walk. I also talked to Dad this afternoon. His dog Gracie (Nelson’s grandmother on the chihuahua side of the family) is going downhill. She’s sixteen years old, mostly blind but up until recently, still was in good spirits. I’m thinking that the dreaded time may be coming up. 😢 In a perfect world, she would just take a nap and not wake up (Dad’s last dog did that). Stay safe and healthy y’all! ---

I’m ok with **sherwin** , but some others have hinted at other ideas, curious to see what those are. I’ve been following these threads for years, never posted in here much. But I kind of feel like I know y’all from reading. But I’m not entirely up to speed on everyone’s nicknames. It’d be a hell of a snow construct for my pup. He’s a good 60 pounds, 28" at the shoulder. A bit more than tunnels for a pug. Fun times at work tomorrow. I get to find the outlet for the drain from the utility room and try to get it flowing. Two feet of snow and I don’t know exactly where it is. At least the landlord will knock off some rent. Decided on finally doing a sloppy Joe for dinner. Friggin delicious. It was a good choice.
