The worst one I can think of: White eyeliner. WTF? It boggles the mind how otherwise attractive women would do that to themselves. The look is absolutely loathesome. ---

…as well as white/silver eyeshadow. I also **hate** those t-shirts, mainly worn by teeny-boppers, which say things like “Princess”, “Hottie”, and “Angel”. ---

Oh, my God, where should I start? Cargo pants. Baggy pants. Wearing a longjohn-type thermal undershirt underneath a t-shirt. Baseball cap with the bill bent so much that it resembles a duck’s bill. Pierced faces. Toe rings. Goth anything. Tattoos of abstract faux-Oriental designs. Guys wearing nail polish. Girls wearing shirts and ties. Sandals with socks. Sandals without socks. Obviously double-entendre team caps/shirts (“Cocks” is the most popular I’ve seen, short for Gamecocks) Co-ed Naked anything. So damn dumb. Uh, that’s all I can think of for now. (Actually, I’ve seen some women with the white eyeshadow/eyeliner who look pretty good with it. No one, however, looks good with any of the above. So there. 🙂 ---

Looking back all I can say is ‘anything from the 1980s’. And I’m thinking specifically of the Flashdance-inspired leg warmers fad. I feel ill just thinking about it… ---

Being a bit of a recluse I usually have no idea what “fashion” trends are supposed to be at any given time. However, when I do notice a trend I automatically dislike it, even if I like it, _on principle!_ Ok, actually, I just hate makeup in general, which has been a fad since BC Egyptian days. Except lipstick, and sometimes nail polish. ---

Shoulderpads. A big agree on the pierced-face thing. Most of the rest simply draws a reaction I can best sum up as “enh” from me. ---

I kinda liked the thermal undershirt thing when Kurt Cobain was around. As for sandals, they can be pretty sexy depending on the wearer (and the style). I live in a tropical climate and guys in surfer sandals and boardshorts always get my attention. I’ve never seen anyone under 60 wear socks with sandals, though. I guess I’ve been lucky. 😉 ---

Geez, why does everyone (OK, 2 people) assume I have a chip on my shoulder? The question asked which fashions I hate, and those are some of them. Does wearing toe rings or sandals make you a bad person? No, of course not. It is just a fashion I hate. Same with all of the others. Sheesh. ---

I would really enjoy seeing a resurgence of **knickers** , you know, Benjamin Franklin type pants. I would never wear them but it would be fun to see. I would also like to see a return of **velcro shoes**. I have seen them in my size at the local mall but havn’t yet the nerve to buy a pair. ---

It never fails to make me laugh, either. I hate those K Swiss tennis shoes. I’m not sure why. I just do. Maybe because they’re ugly. Also, I hate girls’ flared jeans with slits up to mid-calf or knee. And I want to kick someone every time I see capri pants being worn with socks. ---

Bell Bottoms were awful in the '70’s. Why they have returned is beyond me. When I was in Hawaii this guy right off the plane from the 'hood was wearing a visor(like the ones golfers or tennis players use) upside down and to the side.
