I adore [_this_](http://wdsroot.ucdavis.edu/dept/design/facilities/collection/page9.html) look - I have the right body for it too. I particularly like the little style of cap the gal on the left is wearing. With my new teeny tiny hair I could probably get away with that as well. šŸ™‚ ---

Oh yes to hatā€™s with veils! I love it in the old black and white movies when you see this little wisp of smoke coming out of a womanā€™s veil. Then she tilts her head up ever so slightly and you see her eyes glistening mysteriouslyā€¦wow. You could pass out from how cool that is. It may sound a bit prissy, but I would like gloves to come back in style for women. Women always look divine in gloves. And I also like that 40s hair style that Gwen Stephani wears! I donā€™t know what itā€™s called either. ---

Another vote for hats. Although the big problem with hats is that the rest of your outfit has to be classy to match. Wide-brimmed sexy hat atop t-shirt and jeans just doesnā€™t seem to go. ---

I like European-Style T-shirts. The necks are a bit more ā€œopenā€ although not as wide as what used to be called ā€œboat-neckā€, and their sleeves _hug_ the upper arm, rather than flopping around loosely. I have wide and muscular shoulders and those t-shirts flatter that part of my bod. Q ---

Iā€™m not sure if it counts as ā€œfashion,ā€ but I long for opportunities to dress up more. My office has gone casual dress, so Iā€™m really longing for a chance to spiff up and dress to the nines! Sure, I like to be comfortable, but I love the really glamorous clothes I see people wearing to go out in old movies. Speaking of old movies, Iā€™m not sure why, but the fashions of the 1940ā€™s seem like the most flattering things I can imagine. The shape of the dresses and the full pants really flatter the female form. The shoulder pads of that era nicely balance the hips and empahsize the waist without that 1980ā€™s linebacker extreme. Also, the hairstyles and lip stick really work with womens faces. But the best are the stockings with seams down the back! I think they are too sexy for wordsā€“but not something Iā€™d dare wear today. ---

Just to jump in with Maddy- itā€™s a ā€œproven factā€ that dress-down Friday reduces productivity. I firmly believe that, when youā€™re dressed a certain way, it shapes your attitude and therefore your actions. When Iā€™m dressed up, I feel more confident and act accordingly. Thereā€™s little opportunity to do that, even here in NYC. Except at Swing 46. God bless Swing 46. ---

You sound like every high school principal that I ever worked with! And I _still_ feel more confident in boots and jeans! Someone mentioned inheriting her grandmotherā€™s corset. So did I! But the last time that I could fit into it was as a child. I use it for decoration on one of my closet doors. My fashion preferences change with my moods. I too love veiled hats. But they looked horrid with my catā€™s eye glasses frames. I love anything that reminds me of Audrey Hepburn ā€“ but I look awful in everything but the sunglasses. I love hats so much that sometimes wear one while sitting at the computer. There are some great hats available on line. Just do a search on the features you like. One of my favorite hats was the brown felt one in _Crossing Delancey_. Iā€™ve looked for that ever since. At the moment I have a bob and wear cloches but I may breakout into Western boots or a black lace mantilla at any moment.
