“SDMB must have seen us closing in. It might account for his panicking into error.” I get this error every time I search this morning. It’s consistent, using advanced search: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 79 bytes) in /home/straightdope/boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/includes/class\_core.php on line 3223 ---

I changed my search string to fewer words (it had been three words) and it then worked. Don’t know if that’s a coincidence or not. Irritating thing is that it resets the search clock. I was using the regular search. ---

So, how many people died before you completed your search? (Man, them “fatal errors” sure are a bitch. Does that make you a mass murderer, a serial killer, or what?) ---
