Sigh. The purpose of “For some reason” is to indicate that the reason is unknown to the speaker. It has a legitimate purpose. Would you prefer “I don’t know why, but…”? I unfortunately cannot think of an answer to the OP. It’s usually how people say things, not what they say that annoys me. ---
