Really? Can a bolus of gas get from the colon/intestines into the bloodstream easily? I mean, if it can, how are people not just keeling over from their own flatulence getting into the blood? 😕

I gotta call bullshit–maybe. Assuming the article is accurate in its details, and also assuming a Cambodian tire inflator works like all the ones I’ve ever seen, you have press the air chuck very firmly against the tire valve stem to get the air to flow. Now, there are air nozzles that attach to a compressor hose for blowing off machine parts after tooling and the like, but those aren’t “designed for inflating tires.”

The orifice of the mouth is not the same as the anus. Getting something down the throat requires the willful participation of the individal. Not so with the anus. Compare an endoscopy with a colonoscopy.

Yeah. but what if the man had taken out the metal chuck and just inserted the end of the hose.
From what he did, assuming it to be true, the man was probably quite intent on doing what he did. Perhaps he was thinking that the boy would get bigger and lighter and then he could kick him around like a football and have some clean fun.

While I have no idea what kind of tire inflaters they have in Cambodia, but I can tell you the ones in my tool box will in fact expel air if you press the trigger, no tire required.
Funny thing is the very first job site safety meeting I attended on a construction job in 1970 this very subject was addressed. we were warned not to try and goose somebody with an air hose. (we are talking 1/2" pipes with full constant flow) The warning was that high pressure air entering the anus could easily blow a hole through the wall of the colon. :eek:
