On that I originally thought was father/son, but I learn from [Wikipedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derek_Trucks) is actually Uncle/Nephew is Butch Trucks, one of the founding members of the Allman Brothers Band, and his nephew Derek Trucks, member of the Allmans since 1999 and leader of the Derek Trucks Band. ---

[James Raymond](http://www.crosbycpr.com/) was adopted and didn’t know his father was David Crosby until 1995. They have been playing together for years in Crosby’s band CPR. ---

**Cheap Trick** has nearly replaced themselves in terms of numbers of offspring in bands. Rick Nielson’s sons Daxx and Miles were in a band called **Harmony Riley**. Robin Zander’s daughter is in a band called **The Snaggs** , and from what I hear, they’re pretty good. **Jim Dickinson** , who is semi-famous in some circles for his production work with **Big Star** , etc. (he also played piano on the Stones’ _Wild Horses_) has two sons that are members of the North Mississippi All-Stars. ---

Hats off to Roy and Nick Harper. Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream brought his son Jerome into the band. So did Francis Decamps of French prog band Ange (big in France, not so well known elsewhere) with his son Tristan. ---
