# Fathers, Daughters and Valentines

I was going to start a thread about this. I remember seeing a Full House episode where the guys give D.J., Stephanie and Michelle Valentine’s Day presents, and I remember thinking that was odd. My parents never gave me anything like that.

_Shrug_ It’s only creepy if you make it creepy. For us, it was just my Dad showing some love and affection for “his girls.” There were no sexual undertones because there…just weren’t. Eeew.

My parents always gave my brother and me Valentine cards, some candy, and a pair of red socks. (I don’t know how the socks became part of the tradition.) We always made Valentines for them, too. I think it’s a sweet tradition for family members and friends to exchange cards and/or little gifts. Love doesn’t have to mean romantic love.
