Some of the most famous wealthy fictional men are fat.

Think about it, Lex Luther, Daddy Warbucks, Charles Foster Kane, that guy from Parker Brothers, Santa Claus?

Why do we have this stereotype of the bald fat rich man?  
Where does it come from?

They had no lack of food. In thier original eras, as today, lots of people couldn’t get fat.
