One of my favorites that I get use out of:
**Franklin** : This is the kind of conversation that can only end in a gunshot!

Stephen Furst was the media GoH at a convention I attended recently. One question he was asked was what was it like to work with Andreas Katsulas. He replied, “In a word, intense,” then recalled the scene where Vir and G’Kar wind up on the same elevator just after the Centauri smashed the Narn’s home planet. Vir makes a fumbling attempt to apologize. G’Kar looks him in the eye, then draws a dagger and slashes his own palm. Still fixing Vir with That Look, with each drop of blood that falls, he intones flatly, “Dead . . . dead . . . dead . . .” until the door opens and Vir can make his escape.

Furst said it sent shivers down his spine when they were filming the scene, and still does when he sees it.

G’Kar: Well, if the book is holy and I am holy, then I must help you become closer to the thoughts of the universe. Put your face in the book.

Isn’t there another line between them that has Franklin saying something like “And THAT, your honor, was when I shot him!”
Another classic Franklin line:

“It turns out all I needed was a good sharp kick in the head.”

“Well geeze, Doc, _I_ could have done THAT for you!”

G’kar is entertaining a visiting Narn captain:

> [@](#):
>
> “Breen. You’ve managed to import breen from homeworld. How?”
> “It … isn’t actually breen.”
> “But the smell, the taste…”
> “It’s an Earth food. They are called Swedish meatballs. It’s a strange thing, but every sentient race has its own version of these Swedish meatballs. I suspect it’s one of those great universal mysteries which will either never get explained or which will drive you mad if you ever learned the truth.”

And yes, I had to look that up.

Another Londo line, when the Centauri Emperor dies and Londo lies about what his last words were. Loved the bitter look on his face when he revealed to Lord Reefa (sp?) what they were.

I once had a dinner party with foods mentioned on B5. Bagna cauda, Swedish meatballs, peaches, plums, oranges, and so forth. Bagna cauda is an acquired taste, you have to like strong flavors, but I acquired the taste.

Londo on the Hokey Pokey:

“After two thousand years of art, literature, culture, and science…do you know the ONE song that nearly all humans sing to their children at some point or another?”

(sings the Hokey Pokey)

“It does not mean anything! I have been studying it for seven days. I had the computer analyze it. I swear to you. It does not mean A THING!”

Kinda assumes English has become humanity’s universal language by that year, but heck, that’s been a staple since Heinlein.

I couldn’t get any spoo, fresh or not. The ranches were out. I considered replacing it with tofu, figuring that was equally repulsive, but didn’t. Couldn’t get any fried tubeworms either.

Peter Jurasik was great at Londo, lots of Londo moments are flooding back to me now, I remember Londo’s frustration over the Hokey Cokey 😃

That was an excellent scene and what I came here to post about. I had that eposiode on while a few non-scifi fans were over. They all started watching the show after seeing that.

Folks have already shared my favorite quotes from B5.

But we were always fascinated by the little promos for next week’s episode, which were sometimes horribly wrong.

We started creating our own promo:
[deep announcer voice]On the next Babylon 5 … Planets explode! … The Shadows make their move! … Sheridan and Delenn get it on![/d.a.v.] We were really entertained when eventually all those things actually did happen on the show.
