the johnny cash vers of “rusty cage” has been out about a year and a half or 2. very cool. need i mention floyd again? beck has a new one out with willie nelson i think…for some soundtrack, i think good name for a death metal band: ritualistic suicide (if you use it give me credit!) one band to check out: escape mechanism…from minneapolis i think…everything on the cd (released in jan) is sampled. very nice audio collage, like negativland, only more like actual songs ---

## I disagree with Rammstein. I think they stink. Another el stinko band is Kansas, did you know thier still around? Kinda lame if you ask me. Imthecowgodmoo’s picks are spiffy, especially “grinspoon”, I didn’t know anyone else had heard of them! Anyone hear that song on MTV, “Who dat?” Its really cool, although it sounds like a bunch of African tribesman dancing around with their spears! ---

The best band I’ve ever heard (on disc, naturally)? It did not have a name, at least one that I can remember, but the lineup was: Joe Johnson, drums Walter Page, bass Freddie Green, guitar Teddy Wilson, piano Buster Bailey, clarinet Buck Clayton, trumpet Lester Young, tenor saxophone Billie Holliday, vocals ``` I also think the John Coltrane Quartet, the Jimi Hendrix Experience and the Allman Brothers were pretty cool. ``` ---

I’m learning so much at the Andrea BB.Let’s Go Bowling is a cool name for a Band. I liked Camper Van Beethoven back when music was …fun. Gas Food and Lodging would be an excellent name for a country rock band. Speaking of which, I have a local favorite that I haven’t managed to see:Bottle Rockets. But I have’t been to a big concert for 3 years. ---

Lots of Pink Floyd fans out there. I sort of came in right at their second album and sort of drifted out after Meddle.The Wall thing was impressive…but you didn’t have to buy it to hear it 500 times. ---
