Mine is easily Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. The instrumentals are dreamy. I love the bass + fuzzy guitar interplay during the chorus especially…It sounds so nostalgic somehow. ---

_Please Please Me_. The original singles mix with the botched lines. Then the list gets crowded, with most of the _Help!_ soundtrack represented. ---

It’s hard to have perspective after listening to these songs for fifty years. But, “A Day In The Life” is a real masterpiece. ---

If I had to pick one, it’s be “Hey, Bulldog.” Or the Abbey Road Medley, if you consider that one song. ---

> [@silenus](#): > > _Please Please Me_. The original singles mix with the botched lines. Huh? The original singles mix on both the Parlaphone 45 “dry mix” and the VeeJay 45 (USA) are mono, with John’s mistake(s) corrected. My understanding is that the vocal flubs were present only in stereo (album) releases of the song. Edit: PPM is one of my very favorite Fabs songs, and in my opinion is _the_ “best” 45 ever recorded. ---

Eleanor Rigby. (I know an awful lot of very lonely people…and the music is pretty.) Yellow Submarine is next: silly, but fun. ---

I have many, many favorites, and #1 changes regularly. Right now, #1 might be “Ticket to Ride.” It’s always near the top. [Next page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/favorite-beatles-song/793468.md?page=2)
