Aw, man! I wanted to be the first to mention _Clay Pigeons_. _Quick Change_, while a fine, fine comedy, isn’t a dark comedy, is it? Does _The Royal Tenenbaums_ count as a dark comedy? ---

Fargo is one, and I think “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou” also counts. Would M_A_S\*H count as a black comedy? It IS about war and death. ---

And I think that movie might even fall under the definition of ‘black comedy’ that you were getting at, in that watching it one was unsure if the appropriate reaction was laughter or weeping, which is decent as a quick way to characterize the genre. Although for different reasons than when watching something like _Tenenbaums_. ---

Has nobody seen _A Shock To The System_ with Michael Caine? How about _Theatre Of Blood_ with Vincent Price and Diana Rigg? More of a Horror Comedy but it definitely has black comedy touches. Where’s _Monsieur Verdoux? The Trouble With Harry?_ ---

Not sure if it qualifies, but **U-Turn** is a favorite of mine. And **Dinsdale** , I had to laugh out loud at your **Carwash** remark. When I read the title, that’s the first movie that popped into my head. ---
