“you use your tongue prettier than a 20 dollar whore” “…Heddy. …Thats Hedley” Can we have some more beans, Mr Taggert?" “I think you’all have had enough” IMO, there is a fewer percentage of throwaway lines in Blazing Saddles than any other movie. Most every line in the movie memorable to somebody. ---

As far as I am concerned, the whole damn movie is comedy gold. I first saw it as a teenager on VHS, and it just gets better every time I watch it. ---

My FIL and MIL took us this summer to a timeshare in TN where we all had to go see a community theater production of “Oklahoma”. I was mildly amused watching the leading man munch on all the scenery, until he kills Jude and the sheriff is summoned. A black guy strutted on stage, and I immediately turned to my oldest daughter and her fiance (who share my dark and twisted humor) and whispered, “The sheriff is a NI --” We giggled ourselves senseless, and my husband glared at me. He’s never seen Blazing Saddles. sigh. ---
