John Irving – his work just keeps getting better and better.
Brian Jacques – I’ve been reading the Redwall series since 1988 and see no reason to stop now. 🙂
Douglas Adams
Jane Austen
L.M. Montgomery – Her books are like old friends; I end up re-reading them about once a year.

I love “Good Omens” by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman. It’s hysterical.

I like the Ender saga a lot, too – Orson Scott Card is an intense experience (his “Sarah” is very good as well).

Those are probably my _favorites_, but there are plenty of others I read regularly… it’s so hard to choose! 🙂

So sorry if I started this thread in the wrong forum!

Does anybody remember **Secatary Hawkins**? I know the secatary was misspelled, but I’m not sure if this is correct. These books were a series kind of like the Hardy Boys, but set in the last century, A neigbor of mine had many of them when I was a kid and I loved them, then we moved and I never saw them again:( I would love to find out if anybody else ever heard of them, and could remember the authors name!
