# Favorite candy bar

When I was a kid my favourite was Peter Paul’s Caravelle bar. I think the $100,000 Bar is the same thing by a different company. Now? Hard to say, since I rarely eat candy bars. Maybe U-No or Coffee Krisp. If not those, then maybe Kit-Kat (especially if I can get the English ones – but that requires advanced planning, which I don’t do in the case of on-the-road snacks).
BTW: I prefer dark chocolate to milk chocolate.

It used to be whatever the hell I picked out of the Russian grocery store, but now it is Willy Wonka’s Donutz. Same great chocolate taste, but it is less expensive.

Two of the few that I can still enjoy now and then without driving my BG through the ceiling. (The Reese’s actually spike it less than the Guylian… :dubious: )

I think the snack sized candies (like the kind you give out on Halloween) always taste better than full size- don’t ask me why. I wont eat a full sized Crunch bar, but I can eat a handfull of the snack ones.
I also really like Butterfingers, but they always make my teeth hurt. Don’t know why.

**Milky Way Midnight**. I love dark chocolate. **Mounds** too. I also especially like **Almond Joy** and **Snickers Crunch**. Ooh, and **Planters Peanut** and **Munch** (seemingly identical bars, but with the Planters having a higher peanut/candy ratio than the Munch). **Twix** is good. And **Payday**.
Yes, I have a sweet tooth, why do you ask?

Right now, a toss-up between the Buterfingers Crisp bar (sort of like a Kit Kat, but with butterfingers filling) and the white chocolate Reese’s cups. I also like the new key lime Almond Joys, which I’ve only found in the snack size bags. This is a bit unusual for me, in that I love chocolate, especially dark or semi-sweet! I must also report that another new flavor for Almond Joy, the passion fruit one, is awful! (imho, that is.)

I haven’t had that one, but in the international candy exchange, here on the Dope, I got some Australian candy from **jabiru**.
Let me tell you, that _Cherry Ripe_ candy bar was amazing! I don’t know what I’m going to do, now that I finished it, there’s nothing like it here in the States. And _Chokito_ too!
For American bars it’s hard to say, but if I absolutely had to choose, I think I’d say _Snickers_. But I like others too.

Three Musketeers. Forget all that caramel and nut stuff, just give me the chocolate.
Or Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Just give me the chocolate and peanut butter (or is it peanut better and chocolate?)
But really, a Valrhona Guanaja Dark\*\* Chocolate\*\* bar beats the heck out of any **candy** bar any day of the week.

Snickers, followed by Twix in a distant second. I don’t really like candy bars too much, but if I want to crash really early and really hard one night I’ll chase a Snickers with a can of Coke around 3pm. Works like a charm.
Now Violet Crumbles…that looks damn good. Are those available anywhere in the states?

I don’t like cherries so I’m not fond of Cherry Ripes. But you could try [here](http://www.everythingaustralian.com/evryaustralian/cherripmulba.html), once there are some more in stock.
