My mother loved the Alistair Sim version of ACC. Especially the scene when he wakes up Christmas morning and scares the maid half to death.

One interesting factoid that I only just learned a few years ago: the original _Miracle on 34th Street_ wasn’t a Christmas release. It was released in JUNE of 1947!

[Mixed Nuts,](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110538/) with Steve Martin, Madeline Kahn, Adam Sandler, Juliette Lewis, others. Christmas in Venice, CA, at a suicide prevention hotline. Hilarious.
