During the 2000 Republican convention: Bob Dole is doing the expert convention thing with Jon Stewart when someone (I think it was Mo) announced breaking news from the convention floor. They cut to a live shot and it’s Elizabeth Dole with a message: “Bob, I’m going to be here about another hour. I need you to get our thing from the hotel because I want to get out of here by midnight. I don’t want to get caught up in the crowd.” Cut back to Bob and Jon laughing hysterically. ---

This was from the Kilborn era. Remember when that gay cruise ship was refused port by the Camen Islands? They did a bit about that and then Kilborn reports that the gay cruise shippers were so mad that they made up T-shirts with the slogan: “CAMEN MY ASS!”. He goes on to say that they tried to get a statement from a member of the staff of the ship but couldn’t tell who they were because everyone on the ship was wearing a sailor’s outfit. ---

I can only take so much Lewis Black, and each Basck in Black segment is perfect in length. He had me in stiches with the begining and end of the universe deal where the Starbucks was across the street from a Starbucks. Hi-freaking-larious. Favorite Back in Black right there. Favorite Daily Show: Maybe a reall good Ad Nausea, right now, something I can’t stop thinking about from the daily show is one of their commericials… Jon:Other news programs try to create controversy . _cut to clip of other news program doing just that_ Jon:Here at the daily show, our anchors actually hate each other. Stephen Colbert insults the new guy w/ glasses New guy returns insult they fight _cut to the Daily show title with a voice over like “Daily show, weeknights at 10pm”_ Colbert and new guy right outside the building insult each other once more. Mo Rocca comes out of the door and notices those 2 Mo:Huh, I though the dousche parade was in town next week. Mo just takes off running before they can even respond they chase him ---

No, thats what Tivo is for. My favorite line was when John went to a clip of Bush making a speech outlining his plans for future legislation etc. Bush says something along the lines of-- Our country has been exposed to unprecidented dangers of terrorism, a collapsing job market,corporate scandals…Then Jon breaks in and says Yes and this is just my FIRST YEAR! That man cracks me up, Plus as a recent item his Daily Show rock cartoon on midterm elections was a keeper ---
