In [this post](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=633987&page=2), **RickJay** explains some of the problems faced by Canadian aboriginals, and why things aren’t likely to change any time soon. I’m partial to double quotes, most of the time. Although at the right time and place, a single quote can be pretty useful. “-D/a” ---
