I just bought BNL’s Maroon! Track 4 titled “go home” has the lines "_If you think of her as Joan of Arc She’s burning for you, get your car out of park. “Memories are just where you leave them/Drag the waters till the depths give up their dead,” and “She cries her life is like some movie black and white/Dead actors reading lines over and over and over again,” The above are from Fuel’s song “Hemorrage,” which blanked out my mind when I first heard it. Those lines are poetry of a level not often seen in contemporary rock lyrics, in my humble opinion. ---

Okay, I’m the kind of person who can listen to a song, really like it, and not even know what it’s called or who sings it. These are some of those songs: “Why-y? Why d’you always kick me when I’m hi-igh? Knock me down 'til we see eye to ey-ye…?” I don’t remember what song that was or who sings it, but something about that last line, “knock me down 'til we see eye to eye” is really cool. “You say money isn’t everything. Well, I’d like to see you live without it.” That’s…um…Pearl Jam? I don’t know. But the song is called “Tomorrow” or something. ☹ 😕 I don’t know my songs well enough. But nevertheless, those are cool lyrics. ---
