Well, pretty much all of mine have been called out already. Particularly Kinks, Talking Heads, Who (extended version), Band (ditto), Little Feat. But especially Dylan live with the Band at Albert Hall. A cultural touchstone as well as a great performance. “…Play fucking LOUD.” ---

And as far as the Dead go, I’ve owned bootlegs of the September 3, 1977 show at Englishtown, New Jersey, since 1979. On VINYL, cassette, and CD. Special mention to the famed May, 1977 show at Barton Hall, Cornell University. Both easy available on the internets. Pay special attention to the Jersey “Eyes of the World” and the Cornell “Scarlet Begonias.” Okay, I LIKE 1977 Dead. I LIKED being sixteen. I wish I was sixteen now. ---

People are quick to dismiss it these days for various reasons but I think it belongs on any list of great live albums:_Frampton Comes Alive_. After all these years it’s still a joy to listen to. And while I’m at it, I might as well throw KISS ALIVE! into the mix. It had more than it’s share of studio sweetening, but it still was a great listen at parties along with a glass or two of cold gin. ---
