David Gates of “Bread” was prolific along the depressing/beautiful song writing…

“Diary” About unrequited love and being senselessly led on through sheer confused serendipity, and taking that commitment of love to the grave (which most of these songs are).

Dan Fogelberg’s

“Windows and Walls” About an lonely old woman dissasociated from life for simply being.
