Not necessarily my top favorites, just some I really like a lot. See what other movies these themes make you think of and then post some audio (video) from your favorites, too. How quickly can we get to 100 movies? Here are the first ten: [Taxi Driver](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9SR0wf9Nf4) [Rebel Without a Cause](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CjVbJchX6o) [Vertigo](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2wmqPNnKRk) [Schindler’s List](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLK5OWU2YGw) [The Deer Hunter](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UB3js8v6R0) [Hatari!](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyJMxd9iYjY) [Chinatown](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hM-7o9zwJ_M) [Blade Runner](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3jYz_iF1iQ) [James Bond 007 Movie Theme Music - Official](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii1tc493bZM) [Shane](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TR9FWG6U7E8) ---

That is one powerful video! And you’re right about being sucked into it. I went to Netflix to put it at the top of our queue and it’s not there! At [The Keep (1983)](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085780/) there were these comments: > [@](#): > > User Comments (Comment on this title) > 1 out of 1 people found the following comment useful:- > DVD Format, 13 March 2008 > Author: tex\_justice from United States > > I saw this movie many years ago and I really enjoyed it so I have just one question? Why is this most excellent movie not on DVD??? I have searched for it and I can’t find it on DVD anywhere. If there is anyway that you can make this movie into DVD format I for one would appreciate it. The plot and story line were very original for that time period and the action and special effects were top notch. Lots of vampire movies had been made before this but none can top this movie. I usually don’t like WWII movies but this movie was very enjoyable. Scott Glenn is also an excellent choice for the hero of this movie. He has really developed as an actor over the years and I’ve seen most if not all of his movies. Bring this movie to DVD and make us all happy. But thanks for whetting my appetite. If you happen to notice it being on TV any time in the future, please bump this thread with a note to that effect. Great find! ---

Since **Zeldar** has already mentioned _Chinatown_, let me add another great one by Jerry Goldsmith: [_Patton_](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIxDlu_JcYo&feature=related) And since there’s been a mention of Tangerine dream, I give you [_Sorcerer_](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQ_KXK3eNdI&feature=related)!! eta: Those scenes from _Sorcerer_ were done before CGI! ---

You people have opened my eyes to Tangerine Dream! My only real exposure to them was in [Risky Business](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vuF1flQpek&feature=related) and the train sequence. This video has a totally different feel to the visuals, but the music is familiar. **Labdad** , that Scheider tribute is moving. Thanks for it. And there’s more Goldsmith to be mined as well.
