**Dirty Dancing, Dirty Dancing,** and **Dirty Dancing.** Oh, and all those John Hughes movies with Molly Ringwald. Not sure if they’re my _favorite_ movies, but that’s what we watched at slumber parties. \*\*Back to the Future \*\* is from those days, though, and I still think that it’s, like, the best movie ever made. Oh, and **The Goonies** was really big with boys my age. Millit, Class of '99 ---

I was going to say _Dead Again_ because all my other faves have already been listed, but I see it came out in 1991 which is the year after I graduated from highschool. Close enough, maybe? ---

Gone with the Wind, which played 3 times every Saturday my senior year at the run-down movie house near the run-down boarding house. Rocky Horror, which played way too much at the Biograph. Time flies, it’s been 11 years since the Biograph flipped to a CVS. Checking dates, Rock and Roll High School (w/ the forgettable P.J. Soles and the unforgettable Ramones) and Carrie were actually college movies. Lord, I’m getting old. ---

**Waiting for Guffman** was a big hit in my circle **Monty Python** anything **Fight Club** , although my friend’s mom ruined the twist at the end the first time I saw it by coming and in and talking over it ---

I know I used to go to the movies fairly regularly when I was in school but the only movies I can remember seeing are Volcano and Romeo & Juliet. Volcano’s a pure popcorn movie but I think my whole class loved Romeo & Juliet. [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/favorite-movies-from-high-school/398178.md?page=1)
