I like Rowlf too for many of the same reasons but also because he was on the Jimmy Dean show. Second place I’d give to Animal rounding it out with Janice.

Gonzo, and if we’re counting Sesame Street, Grover. They always seemed like two sides of the same coin – maybe it was the blue fuzziness.
I am super psyched about the new Muppets movie (currently titled “The Muppets,” in part because of my love for all things Jason Segel:

I’ll put a word in for some of the lesser known (or at least less frequently cited) muppets:
- Dynamite Harry a.k.a. [Crazy Harry](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crazy_Harry) (one muppet that sure wouldn’t pass muster today.)
- Janice, the hippie girl in Dr. Teeth’s band.
- Guy Smiley (from “Sesame Street”)
- Scred and the Land of Gorch characters (from SNL, season 1)

Another vote for Rowlf, especially as “Dr. Bob” on Veterinarians Hospital.
Miss Piggy: Dr. Bob, you don’t look well. Are you alright?
Rowlf: I’m still in shock from what happened to my last patient.
Miss Piggy: But you cured him.
Rowlf: You don’t think that was a shock?

I like Dr. Teeth.
Also, Bobo the Bear from _Muppets Tonight_ and the later movies. He gave me my favorite muppet exchange of all time.

I have affection for Lew Zealand only because he addresses Kermit as “Mr. The Frog”.
Kermit is of course, the supreme Muppet. For shear humor, I’d give it to the Yip Yip aliens.

I like most of Frank Oz’s, apart from Piggy. Especially Bert and Grover.
But my favourite over all is probably Rowlf.
