# Favorite official sites for C through K list actors

I’m always amazed by which actors actually have their own websites. Sometimes it’s just to hawk autographs (ala [Mary Grace “Ralph Munro” Canfield](http://www.pscelebrities.com/mc.html) from _Green Acres_) or to publicize a current venture (ala [John Astin’s](http://astin-poe.com/), but other times it seems to be something the actor takes genuine pride in. A few of my favorites:
[Wil Wheaton](http://www.wilwheaton.net/) - even though I was never much of a Trekkie, I admire this guy’s site. He takes a major interest and actually writes the posts himself. (If I’m not mistaken it’s one of the most visited celebrity sites on the net.)
[Leon Askin](http://www.askin.at/english.htm)- the [Austrian born actor](http://imdb.com/name/nm0039169/) whose 80 year (and counting) career will probably be best remembered for the time he spent screaming at Col. Klink on _Hogan’s Heroes_\* as General Burkhalter. His actual life is incredible: a cabaret star in Depression era Berlin, a refugee from Hitler’s Germany (Askin’s a Jew- his parents were intellectuals imprisoned at Theresienstadt before being murdered at Bierknau), a veteran of Hollywood who worked with everybody from Billy Wilder to Gary Coleman before returning as an old man to his homeland, he still acts (and is a newlywed) at 96.
[William Sanderson](http://williamsanderson.net/)- the hillbilly metatron (as referenced on the “Whitetrash actor” site I opened- I discovered he had a web site while researching that thread)- has a very sound-rich and photo-rich site.
[Gailard Sartain](http://www.mazeppa.com/gs.html)- rotund Hee-Haw veteran turned [character actor](http://imdb.com/name/nm0765605/) (he’s played everything from the sidekick in Ernest movies to truly evil Southern sherriffs and politicians), his site features his very good artwork. (Also a very good artist: M_A_S\*H star [Gary Burghoff](http://members.aol.com/ArtByRadar/), but he’s also one of those people I’ve never heard a nice word about.)

\*Speaking of _Hogan’s Heroes_, Bob Crane’s son hosts his official site and it’s one of the most disturbing on the net.
