_Relax_, by Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

VH-1 did a series of shows on one-hit wonders a few months back.

Two tribes by FGTH was just as big - in Europe at least.

Then again, from my perspective Barry Manilow is a one-hit wonder as he only charted in Holland wiith Copacabana… 🙂

You may dislike it, but as Annie X-mas pointed out, Murray Head
was the credited artist and it was a hit.

_Rico Suave_ - **Gerardo**
_The Humpty Dance_ - **Digital Underground**
_Bust A Move_ - **Young MC**
_Jump Around_ - **House of Pain**
_Take On Me_ - **a-ha**
_Tainted Love_ - **Soft Cell**
_I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)_ - **The Proclaimers**
But the absolute coolest and/or most bizarre example may be _True_ by **Spandau Ballet**. Great, great song. Everyone assumes that it’s a love song (logical given the melody and the title), but have you listened to the words on this song. It makes no frigging sense. At all.

Nobosy cares though.

It charted in the way ONIB did? It was an international hit?

The single of the song _Jesus Christ Superstar_ was credited to “Murray Head With The Trinidad Singers.” It debuted on the _Billboard_ Top 40 chart on 8 May 1971, topped out at #14, and stayed on the chart for a total of 8 weeks.

Mine was mentioned already: _Green-Eyed Lady_ by **Sugarloaf**. To me, the long (normal) version isn’t long enough.

My favorite one hit wonder:
**Driver’s Seat - Sniff’n’ the Tears - 1979**

* * *

**zeldar** - Gilbert O’Sullivan had a 3rd hit - “Get Down” - told you once before and I won’t tell you know more Get Down, etc

**RealityChuck** - Spirit was an unbelievably talented and equally underated rock group. I could never understand why they never hit the big time.

**Looking Glass** (mentioned earlier for the song _Brandy_) had another minor hit the same year with _Jimmy Loves Mary Anne_.

How about _Popcorn_ by **Hot Butter**?
